How to install joomla cms on local pc ?

To install joomla cms on local host (Local pc, not server) 2 things are required.

1. Wamp or Xamp server

2. joomla cms

1st you will download wamp server from this link.

Wamp

After downloading install this software. But note the folder where you are installing it. Because you will be ask for coping joomla in this folder. Watch my this video tutorial for wamp installation.

After installing you will see an icon of wamp in your date and time tray. In start this will be red color or yellow. Wait a while. When it change to white color, now its ok to use. But note that before running wamp server on your pc, 1st quite skype.

Well .. when you see the icon is white, now click on icon. A window will apear. Click on "Localhost". If localhost page opens, It means your wamp server is working properly.

2nd thind is Joomla CMS. Latest version of joomla is "Joomla 3". But i suggest you "joomla 2.5". Because this can be install on old versions of php. But joomla 3 want php5 or lattest. But you can choose as you wish. For downloading joomla cms click on this link.

Joomls CMS

Now go to the folder where you installed wamp server. Tere will be a folder named "www" and copy this zip file of joomla cms in this folder. And unzip folder here. Now rename joomla folder and give it easy name. For example "joomla".

Now open browser and type this "http://localhost/joomla" (If you have set another name for joomla folder then type that name after "localhost"). Now installation will start. For further instructions follow my videos.

This is like a web part of ASP.NET, or module of Joomla CMS. For adding Gadget Click on "Layout" option in blogger dashboard. Now You can add, remove or change position of Gadgets.
